How do I book and pay?

All bookings and payments are organised online.

There are a few different ways you can access the sign up page from the website.  The simplest is to:

  • Choose the PACKAGE TYPES tab from the menu at the top of the web page.
  • Select CASUAL CLASS  or the PACKAGE you would like to purchase by clicking on the BUY NOW button.  Follow the prompts to purchase via the CHECKOUT.
  • Follow all the prompts to answer the questions for payment processing.
  • After purchasing the desired package you can then click on the tab BOOK HERE to book into the day and time which suits you.
  • Complete your details and click REDEEM CODE OR PACKAGE
  • Enter your email address or the code sent to you when you purchased the package

What if I have never done Pilates before?

No problem! Many of our members have not done Pilates prior to booking with Richmond Pilates. Our instructors will explain how to use the equipment and give prompts and instructions throughout the session.

I haven’t exercised for a while and I am really unfit. Can I still do Pilates?

Yes! Pilates is for everyone! It is a fantastic way to increase fitness and strength and then to maintain it.

How often should I do Pilates?

The answer to this varies depending upon the reason you are working out. Most people find that two to three times a week is a good number for them but we also have members who maintain their fitness by attending only once a week.

Will I lose weight if I do Pilates?

Richmond Pilates adopts the original principles of Pilates as a fitness routine.  You will be using the springs of the Reformers as a tension based fitness program.  Combine the correct techniques and body placement of Pilates with a healthy eating habit and you should find you experience weight loss.
Fitness is only one aspect of weight loss so it cannot be guaranteed however Pilates is great for toning and strengthening the body.

What do I need to wear?

Comfortable clothes which allow you to move freely. We suggest that nothing is too flowing as we are sometimes upside down which will make the clothing shift. We also use springs during our workout and do not want you to get your clothing caught.

You can choose whether to wear socks or not however we ask that you do not wear shoes. Richmond Pilates sells specialised socks if you choose to purchase some.

What do I need to bring?

Water bottle – you can refill it here at the studio, towel and a SMILE. That’s it!

I don’t feel comfortable working out in front of people. Can I book a private class?

Yes, you can. Richmond Pilates offers classes as Solo or Duets. These are arranged outside of our scheduled class times and can be arranged by calling 0433 763 367.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Richmond Pilates has a cancellation policy which is; any cancellation within 15 hours of the booked session – or a no show – is not refunded. Unfortunately we do need to be firm on this as we only have 8 reformers available and it can be difficult to fill the place with such short notice.
There can be exceptions to this rule if you require a change of class time within the same day. For example; if you have booked and paid for a 7pm session but would now like to attend at 6pm (earlier session on the same day) we can sometimes accommodate if the bookings allow.

I bought a 10 session pack but didn’t attend; now it has expired. Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately not. All session packs have a generous time frame for expiry. We offer many session times over 6 days a week for you to utilise the purchased pack and each has a clear expiry date. Should you be experiencing extenuating circumstances please contact the studio via email to explain your situation. Richmond Pilates reserves the right to refuse the request.


We are MOVING!

We have outgrown our current studio and will be moving to

1/458 Bridge Rd Richmond – just 350 metres down the road

(above HAFEZ Restaurant).

To facilitate this move we will need to close for two weeks from July 13th and re-open at the new studio on Monday July 29th.
